How to maintain a high immunity level ?

on

Hi everyone !

  • Today a new article about healthyness 🥗 like always and i want to talk about something that is really important for our health, is our immune system.
  • How to maintain a high immunity level in a long period of time, and stay in an homeostatic state ⚖️ , or knowing the intelligence behind a disease, because ,not everything that is discomfortable is not useful for your body and your self awareness.
  • Immunity is something that is something quite complex but like always we will try to simplify to keep what is useful for our life on a daily basis 🗓️ .

    What is immune system ?

      • The immun system is the body tool to limit and prevent infections. It is a complex network of cells, organs, proteins and tissues enable the system to defend the body from pathogens.
      • I think the immune system is constantly renewing and adapting.
To my point of view, the immune system to evolve and adapt needs functional evolutionary stresses that we call illness to acquire more resistance or even a better understanding of its functioning by the individual.
      • Diseases are not all dysfunctional, they serve up to a certain level of adaptability to the evolutionary program of the individual's immune system and the awareness of its homeostasis.
        • From an anthropological point of view the immune system of humanity has evolved and also the pressure of the environment has made it possible to select the best genetics and therefore the best immune system to cope with the environment and allow what humanity is reaching the current evolutionary stage.
          • And humanity's immune system will continue to evolve over time.
          • Like all functional entities in our body, immune system is permanently connected to others.
          • From my point of view, the quality of the immune system is also linked to genetics, to the level of consciousness, the emotions, but also to the environment, (exposure to environmental stressors that they may be. functional or not).
          • An imbalance of the immune system can be adaptive and progressive or it may not be
          • But in the great game of life, everything is done to move towards evolution.
          • So now we are going to look at the causes of imbalance in the immune system

Which cause can imbalance your immune system ?

              External Causes

External causes of imbalance of immune system
                • Weather 🌦️: (picture woo.edu)       The external temperature has an impact on the body temperature. And also the body temperature has an impact on the immune system. The body system adapt to maintain an homeostatic body temperature. Every immune system has a level of adaptability depending on his genetics, his age, his/her sexe and of course the lifestyle. Of course if the level of adaptability is not respected the weather will have an excessive stressful impact on the immune system depending on what your body is capable to support.

                  • Environmental/ Chemical stressors/ Allergens ☢️ .The environnment has also an impact on the immune system, especially if there is a certain level of pollution and allergens. External toxins depending on the level of adaptability of your body will have issues on your immune system

                  • Pathogens 🔬 : Health excess of pathogens compared to the body's level of adaptability. Depending on the quantity, the individual sensibility and the toxicity of the pathogens your immune system can be imbalance. Especially if he meets a new pathogens, natural or non natural, and the quantity of pathogen you are expose to. So, be aware of  that regarding having a healthy hygiens lifestyle in a balance way.

                    • External emotional stressors : Emotionnal stressors and the immune system are linked because of the activation of orthosympathetic fibers during a state of stress which will activate lymphoid tissues by releasing different chemical substances. In addition, the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis through the synthesis of cortisol and other axes will synthesize hormones which will activate specific receptors on immune cells. Besides , dysfunctional stress compensation behaviors can further overactivate the immune system ; such as chemical or behavioral addictions.  (Psychological stress and the human immune system : a meta analytic study of 30 years of inquiry Psychol Bull. 2004 July 130 (4) 601-630)

                      Internal Causes

                      • Genetic 🧬The link between genetics and immunity is an increasingly expanding field. According to research, immunological cell receptors and immunological reactions are different depending on the genetics of the individual. So there are intra- and inter-individual variabilities in immunological reactions, so not everyone will react in the same way to a pathogen or an internal or external stressor depending on their genetics.

                      • Sexe gender Sexual hormones♀️♂️  : oestrogens, progesteron and testosteron affects immune system cells quatitatively and qualitatively. And it has also an impact on cytokin production. The role of sexual sexe hormones on immune system are not really understood.

                      • There is a link between nervous system, emotions and hematopoiesis especially a link between the serotonergic system and hematopoiesis. Hematopoiesis is the process of your body to create the different cells especially immune system cells. The are studies showing that our nervous system is directly connected to our ability to synthesize in a functional or a dysfnctional way our cells, especially immune cells. And auto immune disease caused by humoral immunity supported by lymphocytes b cells, which are more located in the bone marrow (but other place also) which have an important link with serotonin system (and by extension limbic system). Of course it is an hypothetis because there is not enough studies on this subject.

                      • So we can hypothetize that dysfunction of emotional balance and also so serotonin system will have an impact on your bone marrow, and your humoral immunity.

                      • According to me and the resarch i did, ( it is my opininion) maybe woman tend to have more auto-immune disease beacause their immune system are more connected to the limbic system  via their hormones. And there is a potential link between emotions, auto-immune diseases, internal stressors and humoral immunity. (The serotoninergic system in hematopoïesis and hematopoïetic disorder March 2021 DOI:10.1007/978-3-030-55920-5_4 In book: 5-HT2B Receptors (pp.71-85)

                      • For the male and male who are more usually developping cancer because of their external stressors (lifestyle).  So cancer may disrupt the immune system by create cells to facing external stressors, by using cells immunity, it is just an hypothethis. Testosterone will be studied on a physiological, emotionnal, and on an immunity level in a future article. (The influence on the sexe gender on the immune response Sabine oertelt - Prigione)

                      • Age . Of course immunity depend also of your age. The immune system change when you get older but of course his ability to have a great immunity with age depend on your lifestyle, the way you managing your life and stressors also.

                      • Nutrition 🥗
                      • Of course the quality of your nutrition has an impact of your immune system. Healthy nutrition choices, will improve your immune system way more than you think. Many studies shows that microbiome has an impact of the quality of your immune system.

                      • Internal stressors/ Emotions and thoughts 🤯
                      • As we said in the first part, internal stressors, such as stressful thoughts and chemical imbalance of your body, like a lack of good nutrients, lack of sleep, or a disease will affect your immune system, because emotions via the limbic system and hormones is connected to the immune system via orthosympathic system ( connected to lymphoïd tissues), also hormones activate immune cells by fixing on their receptors, the imbalance of one of them creates the imbalance of others.

The constructive side of illnesses ? ↗️

                            • Illnesses are not always negative, especially if you have a dysfunctionnal way of life or something that you should be more aware about like taking care of your resting time, of your nutrition, of your sleep, of your exposure of external or internal stressors. To my opinion illnesses is just the sign of the body that there is something imbalance in one or different part of your life, it could be your nutrition, your environment, your stress external or internal, your exposure of pathogenes, or something that is not healthy in your environment. And sometimes is the only way your body react to put in your consciensness that there is something wrong, you need to be aware and change it. Maybe sometimes, the body just need to rest and recover, or to do something different.
                            • And one the other time illnesses is one of the best way of evolution when there is this time of adaptability, and the consciousness of healing your body either its mental or physical, your body become more conscious, more resistant and most of the time after an illness we feel so much better because it is ( when the process of healing is correct) also a way to clean your body.

What can we do to balance our immune system ? ⚖️

                                • As for me this picture is the better way to answer this question (Cal Poly Pomona 2023)

                                Scale of balancing stressors
                                • To balance your immune system, you have to manage your internal and your external, and thats how we have the homeostatic state. And acceptance that illnesses is not something only negative but just the process to rebalance your body, is also something very important. So of course we do our best to stay balance but sometimes it is difficult, so we do as we can to better understand our body knowing that illnesses is the part of the process.
